obsession(s) of the month!

I haven't posted for a while, only because I have been engrossed in The Hunger Games trilogy. I read all three books in three days, staying up untill 5:30 in the morning was totally worth finishing each book. I am a huge book nerd, and I love to read anything I can get my hands on. (Although I was NOT planning on ever reading The Hunger Games).

Two weeks ago, I decided to go see 'I Am Number Four' (which I also was not ever planning on seeing). One of the reasons being Quin, from Glee was in it. Who I don't really like. But that movie totally turned my opinion around. It was one of the best movies I have ever seen. Seeing I Am Number Four led me to read The Hunger Games, only cause I had heard talk of Alex Pettyfer being one of the main characters in the move they will be making within the next year or so. And since I am completely infatuated with him...I gave it a try. I have already seen I Am Number Four 3 times, and will be going to see it again tonight! ;) Obsessed much? I know.

etc. III

Anyone ever heard of The Hunger Games? Well my mom has been trying to get me to read the trilogy for a while now. Me being as stubborn as I am, had no desire to read them. Fearing that it would be like Twilight (which I am not a fan of). But once my mom told me it's not about vampires, I decided to give it a shot. I'm only on chapter 9 right now, but I am already in love. At least, with Peeta Mellark... 'the bread boy.' Is anyone else currently reading/have read any of the books in the trilogy? I'd LOVE to know what your thoughts are!

Another thing, I posted a few weeks ago that I finally made an Etsy! I will be selling hand-made dream catchers of different sizes, here's a sneak peak. ;)

any american idol fans out there?

I have followed through with every American Idol season for as long as I can remember. This has got to be the most talented, funny, and dramatic season ever..so far at least. And I am absolutely LOVING the new judges. What better combination of judges can you get? I mean seriously? We're talking about Steven Tyler. Half the entertainment of AI is Steven himself.

Might I just add that I loved yesterdays "Love"? Personally, they almost all rocked it. Especially since I love the Beatles.

I have a couple favorites...

Colton - The blondie on the right. Unfortunately they didn't show his group preform on the episode yesterday. (MAJOR DISSAPOINTMENT)

I really love this whole group. Hayley (on the right) is probably my most favorite of the girls. She's gorgeous, and her voice is honestly amazing. I hope she'll make it into the top twelve AT LEAST.

Paul has my heart (other than Colton). I have never heard anyone sing like he does. He has a voice that makes you want to cry..in a good way of course. But I'm willing to bet a million bucks that he'll make it pretty far.

Does anyone have any favorites? Share!

Day 02!

Day 2- A picture of you with the person you've been closest with, the longest.

I couldn't decide between my mom, or my sister. I mean they're both amazing, and I've been closest to each of them in different ways. Of course I've been with my mom longer, but Danielle has been just as important to me as well.

My mom has been with me through thick and thin. She has never given up on me, never discourged me, and never told me I couldn't endure to the end. In fact, just today when we were driving home from the grocery store, she told me how strong of a person she knows I am, and how important and how strong willed of a girl I am. She has never doubted me for a single second.

Danielle has been there for me in so many ways. She's been my best friend since the second she was born. Of course we're about three years apart, but she still invites me to go out with her friends and basketball games. We watch TV shows, movies, and cooking documents. We fight a lot, but at the end of the day we're still close. If not, we're closer.

ect part II.

I have officially graduated high school as of Feb. 14th, 2011. I am so relieved! Even just 6 months ago, I honestly didn't think I would be able to do it. But I did and I'm extremely proud of myself. Getting my diploma has been one of the most challenging things I have ever done in my 17 and 1/2 years of living. I'm just happy that I can finally move on to college. I think what I'm going to do, is get my general classes done at Dixie State (with an additional class of Phlebotomy) untill I can afford to pay for a bigger, and better college. That way, I'll have a well paying job untill I make my way there.

These last couple weeks have been pretty decent. I made a new friend, which was wonderful and exactly what I needed. I'm finally realizing what life is all about. It's not about having a ton of friends, going out everynight, and trying to fit in. It's about being happy. Being happy that you're alive, and healthy! (Okay, in my case not so healthy. But healthy enough to still be alive!)

I have been going to church the last few weeks. I had an appointment with my bishop last Sunday, and we talked about how I would get my diploma the following day. I have never seen someone get so excited for my well being.

I hope everyone had a good Valentines day. I sure did!

i'm a belieber.

Yes. I went to see Justin Biebers 'Never Say Never' last night. I admit, it is impossible to dislike him. I don't know if it's because every hair on his head is in perfect place, or that little freckle by his mouth, or his insanely straight teeth.

etc.

Once again I have not been blogging as much as I'd like. So many things have been going on! In the good sort of way of course.

I have overwhelmed with school, but I am finally graduated. All my hard work has completely paid off. Believe it or not, I have written an award winning essay, and I was granted a scholarship to DSC. Which, isn't the school I want to put my focus on, but it will make it easier by not having to save up as much money as I thought. I am so excited, I can't even put it into words! I finally did something for MYSELF.

I have been trying so hard to grow out my hair. I want it short, untill I see some girl with long flowing dark hair. It makes me jealous, I have no idea what to do really.

Other than that, nothing else has been going on. Anything interesting happen lately? I've sort of been out of the loop.

tswift.

So here's the deal. I have never been a huge fan of Taylor Swift. In fact, I've never been a fan of her at all. But the other day, my sister came home and played her song 'Speak Now' and instantly fell in love with it. I mean seriously. I was missing out, big time.  How can anyone not like her? Honestly, I don't know anyone who can get away with wearing that red of lipstick, get away with making those cheesey little hand gestures, and singing as good live as she is on all her albums. This video completely blew me away. Enjoy ;)

why can't real life be like glee?

normally, I don't like Gwyneth Paltrow. but honestly, she is amazing in this video. I had no desire to watch this episode, but I decided to give it a shot (on account of, I have a TOTAL crush on Sam). although, I don't really like the fact that he's dating Quin, and that Rachel is being a stuck up brat. what does everyone think of Kurt going to an all boy school? if any of you are gleeks out there; let me know what you thought about this episode!

What I Need

My whole life I have never felt the need to be loved. Not romantically, just loved as a person. This has been a huge struggle for me ever since I can remember. I mean, as much as I'd like to be the social butterfly... I'm not. I have a couple friends. But when it comes down to it, I never feel like I do.

A while back my neighbor called to see if I'd like to be set up with a visiting teacher. Of course, me being myself, I was completely irritated and annoyed by it. I told my mom that was the last thing on earth I needed. But...my neighbor decided to set me up with one anyway. When I found out, I was so livid I couldn't even think straight.

The lady's name is Farol Limb. She goes to my church, and once held girls camp up at her cabin. I know who she is, but we had never really got to know each other untill now. And I'll have you know, she is one of the biggest blessings in my life. She calls randomly to see if I'm okay, and how I'm doing. I can talk to her, and feel like I'm not being judged. The other day when I was working on some driving papers, there was a knock on the door. I did not want to answer it under any circumstances. I hadn't showered all day, and I was feeling pretty low. It was Farol. She came in with a book. At first I thought it was going to be some dinky religion book about how everyone should be happy and praise the Lord. Which doesn't necissarily bug me, but I'd rather read other things. Turns out she is in the Lieto choir.

Years ago, I went to see the Forgotten Carols by Michael McLean at the Cox Auditorium with my Grannie Annie, and my GG (late). It was one of the most up-lifting things I have ever experienced. It's not even church music. It's just good-wholesome clean, happy songs.

So finding out that Farol is in Lieto, she also told me that she knows Michael McLean personally, and sings with him. I was absolutely stunned. The book she had brought ended up being a book "Hold On, The Light Will Come" that he wrote about all his songs, and what inspired him to write them. I have been reading it, and I have never felt more at peace in my life. The first song, in the first chapter is called 'What I Need' and the lyrics read "Instead of all those things I thought I really wanted, I have been given what I need." And it made me realize, I HAVE been given what I need. And I am extremely greatful for Farol, and everything I have.

on my way to a healthier diet

Recently I was diagnosed with Celiac disease. It's a disease where eating anything with wheat, barley, oats, malt and rye will completely obliterate your insides. Which means, no more Taco Bell OR Cafe Rio. Only 'gluten free' foods that are way over priced. But I told myself, through this new year that I will do every possible thing to be healthy and happy. If that means I have to eat nasty food, then so be it. So my mom and I ran to wal-mart last night to pick up a few snacks. Although, they didn't have much because almost everything has wheat in it. I lucked out and was able to get some pretzels, pasta, cereal, and soy milk (which is suprisingly tasty). I guess I should just be thankful that there actually IS gluten free food, and that I am able to eat it. It will be quite the challenge for me, since I love to eat; but I'm definately going to make the best of it.

The Most Addicting Game

Angry Birds

Angry birds is outrageously addictive. The point of the game is to launch birds (from a slingshot) at pigs within different settings, and stuctures with the intent of destroying all the pigs on the playfield. Each bird has it's own different setting or, you could call it a talent. For instance, the first few levels only have the red bird, which actually doesn't do anything. You just sling it back, and aim for the remaining pigs. That's when the blue bird comes in, as the blue bird is in mid flight you tap the screen, and it splits into three different birds, making the pigs more vulnerable to be hit. Next comes the yellow bird, which flies pretty slow untill you tap the screen. It goes about three times as fast as the red bird. Now, the yellowbird is probably my least favorite bird. It doesn't fly high, or fast. And it's talent is that when you tap the screen, it will drop and egg that is a bomb in disguise. Although, the egg isn't very powerful. And last, the best of all the game is the black bird. The black bird is my favorite for 2 two reasons. It flies faster than all the birds (except the yellow) and once it lands, it will blow up. The force can cut through about 4 layers of cement that the pigs could be hiding under. Depending on how many birds you use to wipe out all pigs in a stage, you earn up to three stars. I found myself replaying stages over and over until I figured out the strategy of each structure. Once you get the hang of it, you'll soon be wanting to try out all sorts of ways to take vengeance on those cheeky green hogs. Seriously, the pigs really do laugh at you when your birds miss them.

I'll be the first to admit;

I am not blogging as much as I would like. These last few weeks have been absolutely crazy, and things have been a tad out of hand. Although, I'm getting back on my feet and taking the next step. I've found a job, and will be working 20 hours, 5 days a week with a resulting paycheck of 400$. I cannot even put into words how happy I am that this oppertunity had come up. I will still be looking for a second job to make a little more so I can finally afford to move out of my house, and up to Salt Lake City.

Anyways; how was everyones Christmas and New Years?

I didn't say you had to be perfect.

I love you. That's all.
I'm sorry for what I've said.
